Political poster featuring portrait of Wright at center. Campaign Workers and Contributions Needed Now, The People's Party, 1976 National Campaign Committee.  8-1/2" x 14". Toned and chipped along edge, brittle with losses at corners and loose pieces, partial loss of text heading at top, additional losses to publication info in fine print at lower left.  Poor condition.

 

Margaret Wright was an African-American community activist in Los Angeles. In 1976 she became a politician and candidate for President of the United States under The People's Party. Benjamin Spock was the PP candidate for President in 1972 and was Wright's Vice Presidential candidate for this 1976 election. This item is in poor condition, but we were not able to locate another example of this poster anywhere.
